FYI, Asian needle ants (Brachyponera chinensis) are in the Philadelphia area. Their painful sting can induce anaphylaxis, so be careful. If you find them please submit pic to iNaturalist so Michael Skvarla (Penn State) can come collect samples for confirmation.
